Botox

Botox Cosmetic is used to relax certain facial muscles that are the cause of dynamic wrinkles. Botox is most commonly used to smooth the wrinkles of the forehead, between the eyes, crow's feet, around the mouth, and neck. In addition, it can be use to lift the corners of the mouth. These results generally last between 3-4 months. For patients with severe sweating of the armpits, hands, or feet, Botox is very helpful for improving that condition.

Fillers

Soft tissue fillers can be injected in various areas of the body to restore volume to the skin, giving a smoother, more youthful appearance. Fillers are most commonly used for soft tissue augmentation of the nasolabial folds (smile lines). However, they can also be used to improve volume to the lips, forehead lines, cheeks, tear troughs (under eyes), marionette lines (frown lines), and the lateral brow. The most commonly used fillers at Boone Dermatology are hyaluronic acids (JuvedermRestylanePerlane, and Prevelle), collagen, and calcium hydroxylapatite (Radiesse).

Peels

Chemical peels use an acid (salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or trichloroacetic acid) to remove damaged superficial layers of skin. The result is an improvement in the texture and tone of the skin leading to a healthy, glowing complexion. Peels can also be use to improve acne, as well as improve the appearance of scars. The type of acid and strengths are tailored to each patient. Peels can be combined with other procedures such as Botox and Fillers for a younger overall appearance.

QWO

QWO is a non-surgical (no cutting necessary) injection used to treat cellulite that focuses specifically on the dimples in the buttocks.  QWO is the first and only FDA approved injection treatment for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women.  QWO is offered through a series of 3 injection treatments spaced 3 weeks apart.   Prior to QWO, the only solution to get rid of cellulite was either surgery or laser treatment, both of which required downtime.  Qwo requires no post-treatment downtime, and the results from this treatment are long lasting.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical treatment used to improve the appearance of spider and reticular veins on the legs.  We use the only FDA-approved sclerosing agent,  Asclera, an injection treatment that is also an anesthetic.  When administered into the vein, the blood vessel wall is irritated and causing the vessel to either shrink down or go away completely.   We treat smaller (1-3mm)  veins, not larger varicose veins.  This treatment is highly effective and offers significantly less injection discomfort and reduced side effects.    No preparation is needed prior to treatments, and following treatment, compression stockings should be worn for 2 weeks as directed.  Results can be seen as early as two weeks following the first procedure and will continue to improve over the next three months.  Results depend on skin type and disease severity; multiple treatments may be necessary.
